Common Questions

How do I add a horse?

Open the app, tap Add a horse on The Stable, and fill in the name, breed, age, and discipline. You can come back and add a photo or other details anytime.

How do I track a ride with GPS?

Open your horse's Ride Journal, tap Record ride, and grant location permission when prompted. The phone keeps recording in your pocket or saddlebag during the ride. Tap Finish when you're done to save.

How do I share a ride to Instagram?

Open the ride's detail page and tap Share. Gait generates a transparent sticker with your route and stats that you can drop into an Instagram Story over any photo.

My care reminders aren't showing up.

Open your phone's Settings → Notifications → Gait and make sure notifications are allowed. Then open the app and pull to refresh on the Care & Health page.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open your phone's Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Gait → Cancel Subscription. Subscriptions are managed by Apple — we cannot cancel them on your behalf. You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Open the App Store, tap your profile picture, tap Purchased, find Gait, and tap Report a Problem. Apple's policies determine eligibility.

How do I delete my account?

Open Gait → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, horses, rides, photos, and all other data. See the account deletion page for details.

I forgot which Apple ID / Google account I used to sign in.

Email us at hello.gait.app@gmail.com with the email address you suspect you used and we'll help you locate the account.

Can I share my horse's record with my vet?

Yes. Open the horse's profile, tap Export health record, and choose how to share — email, AirDrop, Messages, or any other share target. The export is a PDF with the full care history.

Can I use Gait for multiple horses?

Yes. There's no per-horse limit on any subscription tier.

Does Gait work without an internet connection?

Most of the app works offline. GPS rides keep recording without signal and sync when you reconnect. The Emergency Card is cached locally for offline access. New care reminders and social features require a connection.
